Sleep!
So Monday night, we somehow managed to get almost 6 hours of straight sleep! That was pretty great. I slept from 7:30 pm-9:00 pm, woke up and pumped for the last time, went back to sleep until about 11:30 when Darrell brought him upstairs. Darrell said Reagan had been wide awake since 9 pm. My shift starts at midnight, so I took him. I would get Reagan nice and calm and he would be asleep. I would put him in his cradle and he would be good for about 5-10 minutes and then he would start crying. I'd get up and do it all over again. I did this until about 1:30. Darrell got up then and swaddled him really tight in his fuzzy blanket and then put him inside of his little swaddle blanket, which makes a little baby straight jacket. Check out the picture of the swaddler, it's super awesome! Once Darrell put him in this, he was out and slept until Darrell's alarm went off at 7:15! Hooray for almost 6 solid hours of sleep!!

After a week and a half off, Darrell went back to work today. I'm thankful to still have my mom off for another week. She has been in and out for the past week making sure that both Darrell and I are able to get out of the house at least a little bit each day.
We are actually getting more sleep then I thought we would. My milk is in, but we are having a really hard time getting Reagan to latch on, so we are pumping every two hours and feeding him my milk out of a bottle. I actually like that better because I know exactly how much he is eating each time.
We had lots of visitors this weekend. Yesterday, our friend Linda Marsh stopped by and in the early evening we had a big crowd over. Three of my friends from agencies I work with in town stopped by. Erin and her 15 month old daughter, Hadlee, Mary and her almost 9 year old daughter, Hailey, and Sandra stopped by. With all of the noise and commotion and being passed around, Reagan didn't fuss at all. We welcome these opportunities for him to be around people so that he can get used to it. I think he likes the attention!
Here are some new pics of him from this weekend.

Things are going well and even after just 3 nights home, we are falling into our routine. The past two nights have been MUCH easier than the first two, with Reagan waking up every 2 1/2-3 hours to feed. Darrell and I have been able to get some good sleep and are starting to feel alot better.
Though Reagan spends most of his time sleeping, when he is awake, I am amazed at how alert he is. He sure does have some pretty blue eyes when they are open!

My newborn photo.
Reagan's Newborn Photo
My mom kept saying how much he looks like me and Saturday when she came to the hospital, she brought my newborn photo. Keep in mind I was a couple of pounds more than what Reagan is, hence the sweet double chin, but the similarities are definitley there.
We were able to come home Sunday at 2 pm. There was some what of a debocle at the hospital and we almost had to staay at least another day, but everything was sorted out and we ended up coming home, which I was very thankful for. Sunday night was rough. He was very fussy and we got very little sleep. Darrell ended up taking Reagan downstairs so I could get some sleep.
We took him to the pediatrician yesterday. The pediatrician that we are seeing was actually my pediatrician from the time I was in 4th grade to about 16 or 17 years old. She remembered me and my little bro, which I thought was so awesome. She even had a photo album of picctures that her patients had given her over the years and she pulled out one of my pics from when I was about 14 or so. How funny!

Here's a little background...Darrell and I both graduated from Southwest Texas State University. Darrell graduated in 1999 and I graduated in 2002. We met in the summer of 2003 and got married on October 12, 2007.
We moved to Austin in 2005 and although I kicked and screamed about moving back "home", I could not be happier and couldn't imagine being anywhere else at this point.
We have two beagles, Cali (3 1/2) Charley (7 months) and are expecting our first child, Reagan Benjamin Farr, on January 15, 2008.
I wanted to start this blog as a way to keep friend and family updated on what's going on in our lives as we know that we are about to start a roller coaster ride!
Hope you all enjoy!
