Happy Mother's Day!

We had a great day yesterday! Reagan and I took my mom out for breakfast and hung out with her for a little while. After we got home, Reagan, Darrell, and I went to Zilker Park for the afternoon. We rode the train and then took a walk down to feed the ducks. There were no ducks out, so we fed the birds, fish, and turtles. Darrell managed to find a fish hook and some fishing line and tied it to the end of a stick and he and Reagan did a little fishing. Reagan really wanted to catch a fish, but no luck! After that, we ran back across the park and headed to go get some lunch. There's a new Greek place that we had heard about over on Lamar called Opa! It turned out to be more of a coffee shop/bar. We did have a gyro and some hummus that was pretty good. While Reagan was taking a nap, I headed out for a pedicure with my pals Colleen and Elisa.

We also ended up having to go get a new washing machine yesterday. The set that we had was a mismatched set that were old when we bought them about 6 years ago. We definitley got our $135 out of that set! Hooray for the new washer being delivered tomorrow.

Here are some pics of Mother's Day!

Pirate Party

We went to a birthday party on Saturday morning for Reagan's friend Victor, who is turning 2, and Victor's half brother, Daniel, who just turned. Victor is the son of my friend Allison that I went to high school with. Victor also goes to the same day care as Reagan. The party was pirate themed and started off with a treasure hunt around the park. It was so cute. There were about 8 kids or so and I think the oldest one may have been 6 or 7. I didn't know how well Reagan would do with it, but when the older kids started to run towards the treasures, Reagan would get really excited and run behind them. Here's an awesome picture of him in his pirate attire with his treasures. These are the cupcakes that Allison and her sister made for the party. I wish I was that creative!

Reagan's Love For Golf Through the Years

The first time he held his little club was in August 2009. Since then, the golf club has been something that Regan has played with almost daily. He used to pull it around with him while he crawled and for about the past year now, he asks to go outside and play golf almost every day. This past fall, we had gotten him the smallest set of real clubs that we could find, which was for ages 3-5. We got him the driver, 7 iron, and putter. They were a little heavy for him, but when we got them out this spring, he seems to be doing pretty good with them. He's using his driver below. We think that it's so funny that he comes home each day and spends about 20 minutes hitting the golf balls. Sometimes when he misses, I can hear him quietly say, "Oh, Man!" or "I missed it!"

Darrell doesn't play alot of golf at all, but we do watch alot of golf on TV and Reagan loves to watch golf with us. He will yell, "Get in the hole!" The other day when I took Reagan to school, his teacher asked me if he had ever played golf because he made a make-shift club and ball out of either a toy frying pan and a block or a toy rake and a block. We got him a little plastic bat and ball and he's finally starting to figure out how to swing it like a bat as opposed to the golf club.

No doubt about it, the boy LOVES his golf!
