Big Week

This past week has been a HUGE week of firsts for Reagan. He crawled early in the week, the next day, I was at work and Mom sent me a picture on my phone and he had pulled himself up. Yesterday, he sat himself up. This weekend has been spent watching him put his new found exercises to work. He's spent alot of time in the floor moving around, pulling himself up on anything that he can get a hold of and when he gets tired of crawling, he just sits up. He really seems to be enjoying himself and pleased with his talents.

The surgery is scheduled for this Tuesday, September 1st. They are going to call tomorrow and tell me what time it will be. We had our last appointment with the urologist on Thursday and he said that he will probably be the first one in surgery on Tuesday morning since the youngest patients are seen first. I am very nervous about this and haven't been sleeping well the last few nights as the day draws closer, but I am trying to stay positive. The doctor has been great and he keeps reassuring us that everything will be fine and that the younger the child is, the more resilient they are. I am sure it will be fine, but I am just ready for it to be over already.

Crawling!!

Reagan crawled for the first time today! I wish I had a video of it, but no such luck. I went to pick him up from Mom's after work and he was hanging out in the floor playing with his toys. I sat down on the couch and put my arms out for him and he came crusing over. I picked him up and set him back across the room and he crawled right back. He also came VERY close to getting himself into the sitting position as well. He can sit up for a long time on his own, but hasn't yet figured out how to get up on his own. Hopefully I can get a video of the crawling within the next couple of days! Here are some of my favorite photos of him from the past few days.

For the past couple of weeks, our good little sleeper has been waking up every couple of hours. Darrell and I are just exhausted and are not really sure why Reagan has all of the sudden started waking up alot after he slept through the night so early on. I took him over to Mom's on Thursday morning and she told me that this is about the age that we need to start letting him put himslef back to sleep. When Darrell came home that afternoon, he told me that people at work had told him that he is at the age that he needs to learn to put himslef back to sleep. That evening, we went through our normal routine, got Reagan to sleep, put him in his crib and turned the baby monitor off. We heard him crying several times throughout the night, but he would eventually go back to sleep. We have been doing this every night since Thursday and it seems like each night we hear him crying a little less.

Earlier this week, I found out that one of the agents that I work with found out that her daugher is expecting twins in December. They know that one of the babies will be a boy, but they are not sure of the gender of the other one right now. I have been telling Darrell that I wanted to get rid of alot of Reagan's stuff that he has outgrown or not used, so I loaded up my car and headed down to San Antonio. I was so glad to clear out some stuff and they were do thankful to get everything, so it really made me feel good.

This morning, I got up and road my bike out in the Driftwood area for about 10 miles. We didn't get started until 9:30, so those hills out there were not so easy. The rest of the day has been spent lounging around and doing laundry.

7 Months!

Reagan is 7 months old today!! Here's a picutre of him riding on his little car that our friend Erin gave us.

Shower Time

Before Reagan was born, we got him a little baby bathtub. It's still sitting in the top of his closet unused and in it's original packaging. We have always given him a bath in the sink. Now that he is bigger, Darrell stands him up in the sink and uses the sink sprayer to give Reagan a shower. Reagan has always enjoyed bath time and now he likes it even more since he gets to take showers. Here are some photos of Reagan taking a shower. The photos have been digitally enhanced to cover up Reagan's man parts.

We had another busy weekend this past weekend! Friday was Mom's birthday and she wanted the day off so she could go see her friend that lives up by Dallas. Darrell and I both took the day off.

Friday was also my friend Sydney's birthday, so I got up early and met her and Karla for a run down at Town Lake. So nice to be able to do that! After that, we went and had breakfast at Magnolia Cafe. Someone had given Sydney a gift card to PF Chang's for her birthday, so we decided we were going to go there for lunch. We went home for a couple of hours and got cleaned up and let our breakfast settle. Then Reagan and I met the girls at PF Chang's. I had never been there before and it was very good. We did share The Great Wall of Chocolate for dessert. That things has a ridiculous 1440 calories in it! The three of us shared it and still didn't finish it. It was pretty awesome!

Saturday morning, I got up and rode my bike for the first time since I found out I was pregnant in May of last year. I only did 3 loops around the Veloway (9 miles.) A couple of weeks ago during a dinner with a bunch of my work out girls, we decided that we are all going to do our favorite bike ride, The Rip Roarin Ride, in Liberty Hill. I did this one two years in a row and it was my very first long ride. The ride is on September 29 and we are planning to do the 28 mile ride, which is the route that I have done in the past. I've got to start riding more so I know that I can do the 28 miles!

After my ride, I went home and got cleaned up and took Reagan to get his pictures taken at JC Penney. The appointments were running about 45 minutes behind, so I was hoping that Reagan would make it through his photo shoot without a meltdown. Other than trying to get him to be still long enough to get his picture, he did really well. They had him on the floor and there was a cushy mat under the sheet and Reagan just wanted to roll around. The photos came out so cute! Email me and I will send you the link to view them!

Saturday evening, we had a family date. We tried out a restaurant called Woodland (http://www.woodland.com/) that has been on South Congress for a year or two and I have been hearing about. It was really great!

Sunday, Darrell got up and met my Dad at 6:45 am for a round of golf. Reagan and I slept in until about 8:15 and enjoyed the morning playing and napping. The rest of the day was just spent lounging around and hanging out.

Here are some pictures of the little man from the past few days.
